Are you right for Blue?

Blue does want to meet other dogs but then can be worried, so will need to be the only dog in the home. He also cannot live with cats but could possibly live with small furries if they are kept separated. Blue will also need adopters with minimal leaving hours as he has shown to be worried when being left alone. His new home will also need to have the ability to separate Blue for feeding and resting, as he can struggle to settle. Blue has shown to be friendly with everyone he meets so can live with children 16 and over, as long as they don’t overhandle and give him space when needed. He will also need adopters that are comfortable muzzling him for any future vet checks he will need.

Is Blue right for you?

This gentle gentleman is our 10-year-old greyhound Blue, who is looking for his forever home to rest and retire his paws. He may be an older boy but don’t be fooled by his age, Blue loves nothing more than going on nice strolls with his favourite people or zooming around in our secure areas before settling down with his teddy for an afternoon nap. Blue always has such a happy go lucky approach to life and loves greeting his favourite people with his happy helicopter tail and lovely personality. Once this handsome chap gets to know you, he loves coming over for a snuggle and a good ol’ butt scratch!

How our rehoming process works

Thanks for your interest in Blue. To apply to adopt a dog like Blue, these are your next steps.

1
Create an account and fill out our application form

In our form you can tell us all about your home, your lifestyle and the kind of dogs you’re interested in. You won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can add favourites to give us an idea of the dogs you like. We’ll use this information to find a great match for …

5
When we find a match, we’ll invite you to meet them

Some of the dogs in our care will need to meet potential owners several times to get to know one another. This lets us see you’re compatible and gives …

6
If we haven’t found the right match, we’ll continue the search together

If we haven’t found the right dog for you within three months, we’ll let you know your application is closed. We’ll invite you to apply again so we have up-to-date information about you, and we’ll keep looking.

7
We’ll support you to embark on a new life with your dog

When we’ve matched you with a dog, we’ll help you welcome them to your home. After adoption we’ll keep in touch to see how you and the dog are doing. If you need any advice or support, we’re just a phone call away.
