Are you right for Dave?

If you are looking for a fun and rewarding buddy, Dave could be the one. This 10 month-old German Shepherd cross Malinois pup is full of potential but needs the right guidance to help him flourish. He would love an active home with owners who understand the needs of his clever, sensitive breeds and are keen to continue his training and socialisation. Dave could live with teenagers who are confident around lively youngsters, and he might also enjoy the company of an older, well-rounded dog who can show him the ropes. However, he will need a home without cats or small furries. As Dave is not used to being left alone, his leaving hours will need to be built up gradually, once he is settled in his new home. The perfect match for this special lad is an active, patient, and positive home who can give help boost his confidence in new environments and also give him the outlets this breed longs for.

Is Dave right for you?

Dave is a sweet and affectionate boy who has already stolen plenty of hearts here at the centre. Once he knows you, he loves to lean in for fuss and will gladly show off his 'sit' and 'hand touch' in return for a treat.. He has a fantastic food drive and responds well to positive training methods, showing great promise for activities like agility or trick training. He is still learning when it comes to housetraining. While he can be a little nervous in unfamiliar places, with a bit of encouragement Dave recovers well and is eager to explore the world with his favourite people. He enjoys a good sniff on walks, is getting more confident with car travel, and has accepted handling and grooming beautifully. Dave is still young and has lots to learn, but he has the makings of a truly amazing companion for someone ready to invest the time and love he deserves. With the right support, he will blossom into a brilliant adventure buddy and family member.
