Are you right for Flint?

Flint can live with children of high school age but will need to be the only dog in the household. He is most likely house trained as we know he has lived in a home before.

Is Flint right for you?

Handsome three year old Flint is a big boy who's been catching a lot of attention since he arrived at the centre! He's a confident lad who isn't thrilled about being here, but he's making the best of it. Flint is strong on his lead, and we mean STRONG! Adopters will need to make sure that they can handle him and be wiling to work on some loose lead training without the use of any aversive methods such as prong collars or choke chains. He is affectionate once he knows you but can be distracted when out and about! He likes to be made a fuss of or given a good brushing and didn't give our vet any worries when he was checked over. When out walking Flint can struggle seeing dogs and can react but he is improving with this and is much better when off site. He is better suited to being the only dog at home, whilst his family work on some focus training with him, something the team at the centre are very happy to help with. Flint loves his toys and likes to carry them around, and loves a game of tuggy. He can do this with his lead at times when he is feeling overwhelmed but rarely resorts to this anymore. He takes his treats very gently considering he's such a big lad. When Flint was asked to jump into the car he couldn't get in quick enough and didn't want to come out! He's probably used to car travel so he has lots of scope for future adventures with his new family.
