Rosie's amazing recovery after a terrible traffic accident

Rosie is just one of many dogs whose lives have been transformed thanks to your help.

Rosie was taken into our care after a terrible traffic accident on Christmas Eve and abandoned at an emergency vet. Poor Rosie had a broken pelvis as well as broken bones in her paw. Thanks to our generous supporters we were able to look after her while she was treated.

In the foster home, Rosie recovered well where she was given cage rest and restricted exercise.

We believe every dog should have their day

We’re taking 3,000 requests a month from people who have made the agonising decision to give up their pooch. It’s heart-breaking to think they could’ve ended up on the street, or worse.

And as you can imagine, our rehoming centres are struggling to cope with this increased demand, so a few months ago we called upon brilliant supporters like you to help us grow our fostering network. The outpouring of support we received was truly heart-warming, and because of the generosity of our supporters, we have received over 3,000 foster carer applications.

Thanks to our paw-some supporters, 303 new foster carers have been recruited!

This helps us free up kennel space to look after even more dogs like Rosie. While the average time dogs stay with us is 46 days, there are some who need a little extra love, support and recovery before they’re ready to move into foster care. Because of your amazing support, we’ve been able to rehome an average of 30 long-term dogs each month. These dogs have been in our care for a year or more and the best place for them is in a home.

Rehoming a long-term dog helps to free up vital space so we can continue to give dogs like Rosie a roof over their heads.

Will you help us continue being there for dogs like Rosie when they have no one else to turn to?

Donations will go towards the care of dogs wherever the need is greatest.
