Dogs Trust

UPDATE: Our rehoming centres are closed until further notice, however we are now able to rehome a small number of our amazing dogs. Each dog’s profile will let you know if they are looking for a new home. For the time-being, we are unable to register your interest for dogs who are not yet available for rehoming.

VIP Lifelines for our Very Important Dogs

Meet Freddie, our bouncy short-haired Pointer from Snetterton. When this happy-go-lucky boy isn’t chasing tennis balls or making light work of his Kong, you’ll find him relaxing in the sunshine.

Although he sounds just like any other dog, Freddie needs a little bit of extra TLC to keep him happy and healthy because he suffers from various skin and food allergies. He needs to be fed on a diet of hypo-allergenic food and treats in order to keep his allergies under control. Not only that, but he’s also hyper-sensitive to ingredients like beef and pork so we have to go the extra mile to ensure Freddie gets tasty but suitable meals.

Pets at Home is kindly feeding all of the dogs in our care for free so we don’t have to worry about providing a special diet for Freddie or any of the other dogs just like him. Thanks to members of the VIP club, Pets at Home is able to provide Dogs Trust with all of the Wainwright’s food we need to cater for all our dogs’ requirements and taste buds!

We save up our VIP Lifelines and they’re used to feed all the dogs in our care, this could cost us a lot of money so the Lifelines are an invaluable contribution and they allow us to plan for the future knowing dogs like Freddie will have their food needs met.
