Are you right for Rico?

Do you like big, snuggly and affectionate dogs and are looking for a bit of a training project? Then meet Rico. He's a 6-month-old Spanish Mastiff who is sadly very unconfident with the world in general and is looking for very special adopters who will work with us to slowly prepare him for life in a home. He'll need to live in an adult only home due his need for a calm and predictable environment while he builds his confidence, however he could potentially live with another similar dog who could be a good role model for him. He'll need to have his own secure garden so he has somewhere to explore off-lead and work on his house training. He won't be able to be left alone for some time but we will help and advise the best way to slowly build him up to this.

Is Rico right for you?

Rico has already come along way since arriving with us so we know that with time and patience he can really thrive. It will take a good few meets before he feels confident enough to show you his true self, but once he knows you you'll see the fun, playful and VERY snuggly dog he is. He will need multiple visits to the rehoming centre and home visits to help help him prepare for leaving us. So if you think you might be the PAWfect match that our handsome Rico is looking for, add him to your favourites now!

When we find a match, we’ll invite you to meet them

If we’ve found a dog who seems right for you, we’ll invite you to come and meet them at the rehoming centre.

If we haven’t found the right match, we’ll continue the search together

If we haven’t found the right dog for you within three months, we’ll let you know your application is closed. We’ll invite you to apply again so we have up-to-date information about you, and we’ll keep looking.
