Bailey is a friendly, one-year-old Malinois cross with an excitable character. He's full of beans and has lots of enthusiasm but will appreciate a calm approach when meeting for the first time as he can become easily overwhelmed when there's lots to take in. Once he knows you well, he'll relish every second in your company; joining you on fun walks, playing his favourite games and participating in his training. Bailey is a super intelligent chap who thrives off of learning and any activity that'll keep his mind stimulated.

Type of home needed

Highly energetic, he is seeking an equally active family who will enjoy teaching him new skills and supporting him with some of his ongoing training. His perfect match would be adopters who love the outdoors just as much as he does, and who are looking for a dog that they can dedicate their life to, as Bailey will be keen to get involved in everything you're doing! He can be strong on his lead when he catches sight or smell of something interesting, so his potential adopters should be steady on their feet and confident in managing his strength. Due to lack of experience when it comes to interacting with other canines, he can become easily frustrated in their presence. He will hugely benefit from building up his social skills with other dogs of a calm and friendly nature, but needs to be the only pet in the home currently. The youngest members of his family should be aged at least 16 and a garden of his own is essential.

More about me

Bailey forms strong bonds with his favourite people and due to a challenging start in life, he tends to find it worrying when left alone. We'd love to find him a patient and compassionate family who will always be around at home to keep him company.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Shoreham Rehoming Centre in Sussex.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
