Alfie is a young boy who is always on the go and is looking for an experienced owner to help guide him through training. Previous dog experience is essential and spaniel experience would be preferred. He will need a dedicated and committed owner that is happy to work with our training and behaviour team as he missed out on some basic training as a pup. It will be a very rewarding experience watching him grow and learn, the hard work will pay off!

Type of home needed

The right environment is key for Alfie to have the best possible start to settling in at home. He would be best in a quiet home environment with few visitors and quiet areas to walk. No neighbouring dogs or children will ensure he is not distracted or over stimulated. Only rural homes will be considered. He will need to remain on lead when in public places so having direct access to his own private garden with a secure 6ft fence is a must. Alfie is looking for an adult only home with no visiting children under 18 years old.

More about me

Alfie needs to be the only pet in the home and cannot live with dogs or cats. This means that his owner can concentrate all their energy on him. Again this is something that we cannot be flexible with as it is important for Alfie's progression. Alfie himself has lots of energy so an active owner would be perfect! Alfie is a really fun boy who will make a great addition in the right home. He had quite an unsettled first year of life and with some positive reward based training he is coming on in leaps and bounds and is sure to do so in his next home if given time to settle. To apply to adopt Alfie please click on the 'rehoming me starts here' button. Applications will close when we find a suitable match.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Glasgow Rehoming Centre.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
