Meet the lovely Harley! He is a cute little Westie who will more than likely get a lot of interest due to his breed. However he is looking for a very special home as he can be a worried lad and finds it hard to trust strangers. Anyone interested in Harley will need to be calm, patient and willing to learn about Harley's likes and dislikes and take on board the advice from our training team. His ideal home would be a single person household where he can have his very own "Harley Room" to retreat to when he is feeling unsure or when visitors come. Harley is not the type of dog that will sit on your lap as he is not too keen on close handling, but when he knows you he loves learning new things in return for a tasty treat.

Type of home needed

Harley is not for first time dog owners and he would prefer to live with a female who can build a one-on-one bond with him. Loud noises can be a worry for Harley so he would like to live in a quiet area where he won't have to worry about any loud bangs. He will need a fully enclosed, private garden with a minimum of 5ft fencing where he can have a play and potter around. He would like someone who is around all the time initially but leaving hours could be built up to a few hours once settled. He would like to be the only pet in the home but could have dog friends out on walks. He will need multiple meets here at the centre and in a potential home for as long as it takes until he is comfortable, so an adopter will need to live close to the centre and be commited to this.
