Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are closed to the public for general browsing. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

Digger is a very bubbly 9yr old Terrier Cross. He is a really affectionate lad once he knows you. He needs to meet you many times and slowly build that bond, but once it's there he'll snuggle and play with you all day long! Sadly Digger has had little experience of home life and this has left him with a few anxieties. He's very sensitive to noise, so his home MUST be a quiet adult only household in a peaceful area away from busy roads and outdoor noise. He cannot share his home with any other pets but he is sociable around the right dog and will walk nicely together if introduced correctly. He'll need a lot of patience and understanding from his humans but if you are looking for a project that will eventually yield a fun and very smart dog then Digger could be your boy!

Type of home needed

Diggers new family will need to have a passion for dog training and be willing to work with our training and behaviour team throughout his transition to a new home. He'll need a fully secure garden with 4ft fence. He loves his walks, and is a dream on lead, but needs to have immediate access to quiet walking areas directly from his home to avoid busy roads etc. He cannot be left alone so must have someone around all day for as long as it takes for him to settle in to his new life.

More about me

My new family will need to visit me a few times before I'll be ready to go home, so you may prefer to live locally to the Leeds rehoming centre.

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Digger, who is based at Leeds. Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public for general browsing. We kindly ask that you don’t travel to or visit our rehoming centres.

We’re still rehoming, with a virtual matching system and safety measures in place. If you are matched with a dog, you’ll be invited an appointment at the centre to meet them, and if all goes well, make plans to take them home.

We’re experiencing unprecedented interest in adoption, so please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.
