I'm looking for a new home...

About Major

2 to 5 Years

Meet Major our 4 year-old GSDX cuddle bear. This loving beautiful boy adores a good fuss, he is a very friendly boy that enjoys a cuddle from everybody! Major also enjoys getting his nose stuck into fun food games and other games such as catch ball and find the squeaky toy. Major loves being a pampered pooch and loves nothing more than a good bath and brush to make him feel fabulous. This soft boy would make a great addition to any family. He is a real catch!

Type of home needed

Major is looking for a home that will love him as much as we do. He would need to go to a home with private secure garden where he can have free run to play with his toys and potter around. Due to his history of being around children aged 10 plus regularly, we think Major could go home with children aged 11 and over who are happy with a big, strong dog and will give him space when he needs it. Major will need to be the only dog in the home due to him having mixed feelings about other dogs - sometimes he's very intense with them and other times he's very unsure, however we still encourage that adopters would keep up his dog socialisation in his new home. He could also potentially live with a dog savvy cat.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Manchester Rehoming Centre.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
