Hickory is a super sweet 6 year old Foxhound looking for his new home. He's a shy boy who can be very nervous in new situations so is looking for a quiet home that can be patient with him. The way to Hickory's heart is through his mouth! He loves his tasty treats so this will be a great trick to win him over! Hickory likes to spend his time here at the centre being a typical hound-sniffing and exploring! He loves his walks so long as they are in quieter places so he feels more relaxed.

Type of home needed

Hickory is looking for a home that has it's own private secure garden and is set away from busy roads. As he can be shy around new people, he will need visitors to be kept to a minimum. To help build his confidence gradually, Hickory will need his walks in quieter areas. He is currently worried by the car so this shouldn't be essential to new adopters as it could take him time to feel comfortable getting in. Hickory can live with children aged 14 years and over. He does like meeting up with his doggy friends but is more confident around the females so could live with another calm female dog in his new home and she would need to be neutered.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Manchester Rehoming Centre.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
