Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are open by appointment only. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

I'm looking for a new home...

About Humphrey

2 to 5 Years

To apply to rehome Humphrey, please click on the 'Rehoming me starts here' button below. Applications will close when a suitable match has been found, at which point Humphrey will be removed from the website. Humphrey is a bouncy young chap who has joined us after his racing career ended due to injury. His Canine carer describes him as a sweetheart who loves a fuss and is always eager to join them for walks and wags.

Type of home needed

Humphrey really enjoys his interactions with people, so can't wait to have a family all of his own. He will require some time to adapt to his new routine and surroundings, as he has only known kennel life up to this point. Time left alone will need to be increased gradually to get an idea of what he is comfortable with. He can potentially share his home with a dog of a similar size after successful meets here at the centre. Humphrey is typical of his breed, having a high chase drive means he can not live with cats or small dogs. He can live with children of secondary school age who are willing to lend a hand with introducing Humphry to his new home

More about me

Sadly, Greyhounds often get overlooked, we usually find that they can adjust very well to home life, enjoying comforts such sharing sofas and letting their personality shine. All they ask for is a little patience whilst they settle and some understanding whilst they master house training too. Humphrey was happy to jump into our car, so has great potential to enjoy family trips once he has settled into his new home.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from Dogs Trust Evesham in Worcestershire.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.
