Covid-19 update: our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing, but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with measures in place to keep staff and adopters safe. Find out more about how national Covid-19 restrictions are affecting our rehoming procedures and other activity.

Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with new processes in place to keep staff, visitors and adopters safe.

For dogs we know will thrive straight away in their new home, we’re matching them with their new homes virtually and delivering them contact-free. Current restrictions mean we can only facilitate adoptions local to our centres and not across Countries or anywhere there are travel restrictions. We’re not able to make appointments for dogs to meet their family before going home, but we can register interest to arrange appointments when restrictions ease.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

About Bonnie

1 to 2 Years

Beautoful Bonnie is a sweet girl who's here through no fault of her own. She's only a year old so a little wary of her new environment and situation, but the fuss and attention she's getting from her carers is helping her to settle in. Bonnie doesn't believe in personal space and likes to snuggle in as close as she can, and the more she gets to know you, the closer she moves in!

Type of home needed

Bonnie is looking for a home with her big brother Kalvin. They are very close and a joy to see together. They go together very well, given that Kalvin is toy mad and Bonnie isn't bothered! Both dogs get along with other dogs, although Bonnie can sometimes give a little unsure bark when she first meets one. Both are house trained but not used to being left alone for any length of time, and can live with children of secondary school age.

More about me

If you would like to adopt Bonnie and Kalvin, please click "Come And Meet Me" below. We are pretty happy that they will settle very quickly with their new family so once we've found them the perfect home, we will be able to take them there contact free. We have social distancing measures in place to protect both our staff and adopters.

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Bonnie, who is based at Merseyside (Liverpool). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
