Covid-19 update: our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing, but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with measures in place to keep staff and adopters safe. Find out more about how national Covid-19 restrictions are affecting our rehoming procedures and other activity.

Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with new processes in place to keep staff, visitors and adopters safe.

For dogs we know will thrive straight away in their new home, we’re matching them with their new homes virtually and delivering them contact-free. Current restrictions mean we can only facilitate adoptions local to our centres and not across Countries or anywhere there are travel restrictions. We’re not able to make appointments for dogs to meet their family before going home, but we can register interest to arrange appointments when restrictions ease.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

Likes

Kylo is a friendly, playful boy with a zest for life! He loves getting out and about on walks and is lovely on lead. Kylo has lots of energy and loves doing zoomies and playing with toys. Kylo is good with other dogs, so could happily socialise with other friendly dogs out on walks. Kylo enjoys being around his human friends, but doesn't enjoy too much fuss and handling. He is a clever boy and already knows Sit, Touch and Down.

Type of home needed

Kylo will best suit a quiet adult only home as he can get a little excitable and mouthy. He hopes to find active adopters who will take him on interesting long walks and play with him. To begin with, he would like someone to keep him company all the time, but once he is fully settled short leaving hours can be introduced. Kylo needs to be the only pet in the home but can meet canine chums out on walks. Kylo would prefer a home with a secure garden as he loves doing zoomies when he gets a burst of energy.

More about me

We're confident that Kylo will thrive straight away in a new home. So once they've been matched with their perfect family, we'll be able to deliver them to their new home contact-free. We've got social distancing measuring in place to ensure we keep our staff and adopters safe - we'll discuss all the details with you if your application is successful. If you're interested in applying to adopt him, click on the 'come and meet me button'. ***Please note, due to Covid restrictions, we will only be considering applications that are within 1 hour travelling time from the centre - NR16 2LD***

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Kylo, who is based at Snetterton (Norfolk). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
