Covid-19 update: Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with social distancing measures in place to keep our staff and adopters safe.

Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but you can still make an appointment to adopt or bring a dog to us. We’ve set up new processes to keep staff, visitors and adopters safe, including matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free.

Local restrictions may affect our rehoming procedures, so please check the rules for your area: we’re not able to facilitate appointments or adoptions across different tiers, or anywhere there are travel restrictions.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

Milly is a beautiful 5yr old Staffie looking for her forever home. She loves a fuss from her human friends, enjoys any tasty treats which also helps with her ongoing training. Playing with a tennis ball is one of her favourite ways to play and tire her out in the garden. Milly is typical of her breed, she has an exciteable personality, particularly with people she knows, she is full of energy and loves her cuddles.

Type of home needed

Milly can live with children 11 years of age and above. Her adopters need to be committed to allowing her to settle in over a couple of weeks. She prefers not to be left home alone for too long but could potentially manage 3-4hrs in the long term. Milly's garden must be fully secure with 6 foot fencing. She is worried around other dogs so will need to be walked in areas where other dogs wont run up to her offlead and take her by surprise. She will need to be the only dog in the home and cannot live with cats. Milly really has so much to offer as a fabulous companion if you can match her wish for long walks and plenty of play time.

More about me

Milly does have some ongoing medical conditions which may require long term treatment. We're confident that Milly will thrive in a new home. So once she's been matched with her perfect family, we'll be able to bring her to her new home contact-free meaning new adopters need to live within an hour's journey from the centre. We've got social distancing measuring in place to ensure we keep our staff and adopters safe - we'll discuss all the details with you if your application is successful. Applications will close once a suitable home has been found.

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Milly, who is based at Manchester. Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
