We’ve set up new processes which include social distancing measures to help keep staff, visitors and adopters safe.

We’re now matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment and this now applies to all of our rehoming centres in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Danny is a one-year-old Staffie Cross Terrier with a real zest for life! He is incredibly smart, loves to participate in training and has shown great potential. However, this youngster still has a lot more to learn, so is seeking dedicated owners who are keen to get on board with some reward-based training. Danny is an active chap who enjoys exploring the outdoors and would love a family who could take him out on lots of fun walks. It shouldn't take too long to make friends with Danny, and he'll make for a loyal, loving companion once he knows you well.

Type of home needed

Danny doesn't quite know how to socialise with other dogs and his OTT greetings are not always appreciated by others. He would benefit from on-going training to learn how to greet dogs calmly, and he'll need quieter walking areas while he builds up his social skills. However, Danny has the potential to live with a well-suited doggy friend in his new home if they were to get on well upon multiple interactions. He cannot live with cats and the youngest members of his family should be aged at least 14. Leaving him alone at home will need to be built up gradually.

More about me

In line with current government guidelines, we can open to the public through a limited, appointment-only basis. Please call us to register your interest in Danny, and if it seems you could be a match, you may be invited to our centre for an appointment to meet him.

During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs. This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Danny, who is based at Shoreham (Sussex). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
