Rex is a big, energetic bundle of fun who constantly amuses his handlers with his goofiness! He is a real foodie and a clever boy who already knows the basics and has responded well to positive, reward-based training here. He absolutely LOVES toys, particularly squeaky ones that he can amuse himself with by throwing it around. He is a real sweat heart who just needs some help to flourish and a sofa large enough to fit him on too!
Type of home needed
He has been under-socialised with other dogs but has been doing well with parallel walking, so is looking for owners that can continue to build up his confidence and walk him in very low dog populated areas while his skills are improving. He needs to learn some manners as he can sometimes forget his size and can be a bit pushy and mouth you when he becomes over-aroused Rex will need owners who are confident with large dogs and are able to work with our behaviour team to continue his training once home. Rex will need an adult only home. Rex is an energetic young puppy who will need a good amount of physical and mental stimulation through a mixture of exercise and training.Rex will need to be the only pet in the home. Children (including visiting children) need to be 16 and above. He will need a secure, private garden with high fencing and locked gates. He will need a home with no neighbouring dogs. His new owners will need to have no leaving hours until he is settled. Owners will need to live within an hour of the centre to do regular visits (as many as he needs) and to have more than one home visit with Rex.

During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our
rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful
staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now
able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs.
This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of
being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by
your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without
your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to
those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs
get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them
their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult
time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue
looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...
