Covid-19 update: our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing, but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with measures in place to keep staff and adopters safe. Find out more about how national Covid-19 restrictions are affecting our rehoming procedures and other activity.

Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with new processes in place to keep staff, visitors and adopters safe.

For dogs we know will thrive straight away in their new home, we’re matching them with their new homes virtually and delivering them contact-free. Current restrictions mean we can only facilitate adoptions local to our centres and not across Countries or anywhere there are travel restrictions. We’re not able to make appointments for dogs to meet their family before going home, but we can register interest to arrange appointments when restrictions ease.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

Likes

Charlie is a lovely lad looking for adopters who can give him all the love and attention he deserves. He is a playful boy who can often be spotted playing with his teddies and toys in his kennel. Charlie is friendly and enjoys being with his human pals as he loves some fuss and company. Charlie is good with other dogs and will happily say hello to them on walks, but he'd like to be the only dog in the home so he can have all the cuddles. Charlie travels well in the car and knows Sit, Paw and Down.

Type of home needed

Charlie can live in a home with sensible children aged 14 and older. Although he is 9 years old, Charlie still has lots of energy and would love to go on interesting, varied walks and have plenty of toys to entertain him. He would love a secure garden to play in. Charlie isn't used to being left alone, so he needs an adopter who can be with him for most of the time. He is a lovely lad and makes brilliant company.

More about me

We're confident that Charlie will thrive straight away in a new home. So once they've been matched with their perfect family, we'll be able to deliver them to their new home contact-free. We've got social distancing measuring in place to ensure we keep our staff and adopters safe - we'll discuss all the details with you if your application is successful. If you're interested in applying to adopt him, click on the 'come and meet me button'. ***Please note, due to Covid restrictions, we will only be considering applications that are within 1 hour travelling time from the centre - NR16 2LD***

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Charlie, who is based at Snetterton (Norfolk). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
