Meet Lola, she is a very sweet 5 year old American Bulldog looking for a calm and predictable home. She can be a little shy of people initially so would like her new home to be patient with her whilst she builds her confidence around them. Lola is super playful with her human friends once she has gotten to know them, she enjoys her toys and keeping her mind active!
Type of home needed
Lola has been more comfortable around females, so would need at least one female in her new home! She likes her own space at times, due to this she will need to go to an adult only home with no visiting children. Lola will need her own large secure garden for chilling out and enjoying the fresh air. She will need to be the only dog in the home, she does like to meet other dogs and as she has gained in confidence, this means she can be a bit boisterous for them. It is essential that Lola's new adopters have a car and can drive, due to her breed and becoming stressed in some environments she can suffer from overheating so it is important that owners could take her to the vets if necessary. Due to this she is looking for a home where owners aren't looking to do long walks as she won't be able to cope with this. She does struggle in the car so travel would need to be non-essential.
More about me
Lola will be the perfect doggy companion if given the chance, she is very affectionate once she becomes your friend! Please note that under the coronavirus restrictions we would be doing meets with Lola at the centre following social distancing criteria.
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our
rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful
staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now
able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs.
This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of
being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by
your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without
your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to
those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs
get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them
their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult
time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue
looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...
