Joey is a 3 year old JRT. He is an energetic boy who has a cheeky character and is full of fun. He can be a little unsure when he first meets new people but can soon make friends. Joey prefers a quiet environment and is looking for an adult only home where he will be the only pet in the house.
Type of home needed
Joey is looking for experienced owners have had Terriers before and can keep up with his energy levels. Joey needs his own garden where he can spend time off his lead playing with his toys or relaxing. Joey can be worried and uncomfortable with formal handling and does need time to build a bond in order to trust you. He is not a lap dog and does need his own space at home.
More about me
Joey is house trained and can be left on his own for a short period of time throughout the day. He loves to go in the car on new adventures where he can explore new sights and smells. He enjoys his home comforts and will snuggle up in his own bed after a long day of being out and about. Joey will need someone who can visit the centre several times to build a bond and a friendship with him. I am not currently available for rehoming as I would like to meet my new family a few times before going home, which is not possible at the moment due to current restrictions. My Canine Carers will let you know as soon as this changes, so keep an eye on my profile.
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our
rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful
staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now
able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs.
This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of
being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by
your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without
your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to
those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs
get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them
their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult
time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue
looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...
