Bertha is a a beautiful beagle who is looking for a gentle and understanding owner. She was returned to us only due to a change in her owners circumstances, previous to this she was a puppy farm dog and didn't have the best life. Because of her background she can be worried and would really benefit from a quieter home environment.
Type of home needed
Bertha loves the company of other dogs and this is when you will see her at her liveliest. She would prefer to share her home with another dog and it does give her a boost of confidence. She cannot live with cats. Bertha is not housetrained and this is something that her new owners will have our continued support with if required. It would be best for her owners to be around for most of the day to help with this.
More about me
Bertha can be a little more hesitant when meeting new men and can take a bit longer to build a relationship with them but she is super affectionate when she trusts you. She will need to be kept onlead in public as she can be worried and we wouldn't want her to get startled and run off.
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming
centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will
continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We’d like to take this
opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything
they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked and looked after. We appreciate you
thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a
donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you
can do so here...
