Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are open by appointment only. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

Gus is a 7 year old Boxer cross. To rehome me please click on the " Rehoming me starts here " button below. Applications will close when I have found my suitable match. Gus is an affectionate boy who loves his family and adores cuddles. He can live with children aged 10 years and over.

Type of home needed

Gus loves people and is a friendly giant. His favourite thing is cuddles and more cuddles! He would love a hard surfaced garden to play and where he can zoom around after his tennis ball and play with his new family. As Gus loves the attention of people he would enjoy having company during the day but is happy alone a few hours. Gus is currently on medication for itchy skin as he reacts to grasses. A home with a paved or stone garden or a house near the beach would be ideal.

More about me

Gus is happiest when he is snuggling up and spending time with his favourite people. He is housetrained and enjoys jumping in the car and going to visit new places. He is strong on the lead and would suit an owner who is happy to walk a strong dog.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our West Calder Rehoming Centre in Edinburgh.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
