I'm looking for a new home...

About Vijay

5 to 7 Years

Vijay loves his walks and having a sniff around exploring but most of all he just enjoys being in your company.

Type of home needed

Vijay is a sweet lad who can be worried by being handled by new people or even over handled by people he knows, so a slow gentle approach is needed with him. Once he knows you a bit better he gets more comfortable with being handled. He really loves a gentle chin scratch and will lean into you or paw at you for more. Vijay would benefit from a home with someone who has experience of owning collies that can help keep him active mentally and physically. He will need an adult only home as he likes his own space and time to settle. Vijay is looking to be the only dog in the household,he much prefers the company of people rather than other dogs. Vijay is worried by traffic so is keen to find a rural home where he can enjoy walks in quiet locations, away from any busy main roads. He is a very clever collie who is quick to learn, so someone who would be willing to spend some time training would be rewarded with a very intelligent companion!

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Shrewsbury Rehoming Centre in Shropshire.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
