Covid-19 update: our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing, but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with measures in place to keep staff and adopters safe. Find out more about how national Covid-19 restrictions are affecting our rehoming procedures and other activity.

Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with new processes in place to keep staff, visitors and adopters safe.

For dogs we know will thrive straight away in their new home, we’re matching them with their new homes virtually and delivering them contact-free. Current restrictions mean we can only facilitate adoptions local to our centres and not across Countries or anywhere there are travel restrictions. We’re not able to make appointments for dogs to meet their family before going home, but we can register interest to arrange appointments when restrictions ease.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

I am currently looking for my new family. To apply to rehome me please click on the 'Come and Meet Me' button below. Greg will need to meet his new family at the centre before going home. Due to current government guidelines we cannot make appointments for you to meet dogs at the centre but we can register your interest to meet them for when restrictions ease.

Type of home needed

Can you believe that Greg is even more gorgeous in person than his pictures! He is a sensitive sausage especially when it comes to meeting new people and being around dogs. To help him feel most at ease on his multiple meets he's asking for here at the centre, he can't live with more than two people. This hunk loves a snuggly crate where he can have some peace and quiet but is sure to join you on the sofa once he has developed a lifelong friendship with you. Speaking of peace and quiet, Greg is looking for his forever home to be in a rural location, all this lad is asking for is time, care, commitment and countryside walks.

More about me

Greg will need your garden to be private/secure to have some carefree offlead time! He needs an adult only and pet free home where he can build a nice strong bond with his new owners. With the history we have on Greg he will unable to have visiting children and doesn't want lots of visitors as he finds new people very scary. Check out our Instagram page to find Greg pupdates to get to know him. P.S Greg loves tennis balls, and cuddles with his favorite canine carer Chloe who he has gotten to know super well!

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Greg, who is based at Basildon (Essex). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
