Covid-19 update: Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with social distancing measures in place to keep our staff and adopters safe.

Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but you can still make an appointment to adopt or bring a dog to us. We’ve set up new processes to keep staff, visitors and adopters safe, including matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free.

Local restrictions may affect our rehoming procedures, so please check the rules for your area: we’re not able to facilitate appointments or adoptions across different tiers, or anywhere there are travel restrictions.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

About Casey

2 to 5 Years

Due to Casey having a high prey drive, we have discovered that she doesn't like cats, so ideally would like to live in an area with minimal cats. Casey enjoys gentle fuss and cuddles from familiar faces.

Type of home needed

Casey is a lovely and affectionate young girl whose tail never stops wagging when she is around her human friends. She is very insecure when meeting new people but is definitely worth the time needed to get to know her. We are looking for Casey to be the only animal in the home and she must have a very secure garden as she does tend to have super fence jumping abilities! She does get on with other dogs on her walks and walks parallel to them on a daily basis, but can be a little hit and miss when it comes to interacting with them and gets very jealous, so she will need to wear a muzzle on walks; she just wants all the love for herself!! Casey would be looking for someone who is willing to make multiple trips to the centre and have the time and patience it will take to get to know her. Once Casey is comfortable with you she is a very playful girl who just wants a good rough and tumble before settling down for a cuddle - could you be the right person for her?

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Casey, who is based at Shrewsbury (Shropshire). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
