Sapphire (AKA Saffy) is an affectionate 10yr old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who really loves the company of people. She also enjoys playing with her toys, in particular chomping on tennis balls or Nylabone's. As for treats she can be a little fussy and prefers the tastier ones. However, treats must be given in moderation as she is currently on a diet.

Type of home needed

Unfortunately, Saffy doesnt want to be around other dogs, therefore will need to be the only pet in the home and have no neighbouring dogs either side. Walking locations will also need to be taken into consideration quiet, low dog populated areas. Her new home will need a garden so she can enjoy some off lead playtime and maybe some sunbathing? Adopters will need to be prepared to continue her muzzle training and working on her response to other dogs. They will also need to be committed to her diet so she can reach a healthy weight. Due to her reaction to other dogs, Saffy will need to wear a muzzle whilst out in public.

More about me

Saffy does not like being left on her own, so will need someone around all the time and a programme put in place to build up duration very slowly and help change the emotion behind being left on her own. She could live with children aged 10 or over, who will be able to read her body language. Saffy is housetrained. To apply for Sapphire please click on the 'Rehoming me starts' here button below. Applications will close when a suitable match has been found.
