Kaya is a 1 year old German Shepherd who is looking for patient owners that have experience of reactive rescue dogs. She finds the world overwhelming and is still learning and growing at her own pace. Kaya is a sweet girl who enjoys playing with her toys and engaging with you, once she gets to know you which may take her a little while, she enjoys a gentle fuss. Kaya needs a home in a rural location with a Large Secure garden that has a minimum of 6ft fencing. she is also looking for a home that doesn't have any neighbouring dogs.
Type of home needed
Kaya is looking for an active family who will continue her training. She will need to build up her confidence in new environments and with new people. She is a very clever girl who loves to learn and is progressing very well in her training here at the centre. She will need her training continued with patient owners who can give her the time she needs. Kaya is looking for her new family to be around most of the day. Kaya will need to be kept on lead and wear a Muzzle on walks, new owners must be happy to continue this.
More about me
KAYA MUST BE THE ONLY PET IN THE HOME. Kaya is very worried and reactive around other dogs and will need quiet places to walk where she can avoid dogs. She is undergoing training here at the centre to help her with this but we cannot guarantee she will ever be able to enjoy the company of other dogs so new owners need to be happy walking her in quiet areas away from other dogs. Kaya could potentially live with children aged 15 and over. Kaya will make a wonderful addition to a family that are prepared to follow all advice from our training team. to register your interest in Kaya please email [email protected]
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our
rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful
staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now
able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs.
This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of
being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by
your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without
your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to
those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs
get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them
their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult
time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue
looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...
