Covid-19 update: Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with social distancing measures in place to keep our staff and adopters safe.

Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but you can still make an appointment to adopt or bring a dog to us. We’ve set up new processes to keep staff, visitors and adopters safe, including matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free.

Local restrictions may affect our rehoming procedures, so please check the rules for your area: we’re not able to facilitate appointments or adoptions across different tiers, or anywhere there are travel restrictions.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

To apply to rehome me please click on the 'Come and Meet Me' button below. Applications will close when I have found a suitable match. Teddy is a bouncy bundle of fun! Teddy will need ongoing training in his new home, he enjoys learning and is very clever. Once he knows you he can be very affectionate and enjoys a fuss at times when hes not playing! Teddy has seperation anxiety and would need his new owners to be around all day and build up his leaving hours slowly

Type of home needed

Teddy is looking for an active home, he loves to be on the go at all times! he enjoys playing with his toys or being out and about. Teddy can be worried by handling so needs calm owners who are happy to take their time getting to know him. Teddy does have some basic training but will need ongoing training in the home to help build his confidence. Teddy is looking for a home in a rural location that is quiet.

More about me

Teddy is looking for a home with a secure garden and a minimum of 6ft fencing. Teddy cannot live with cats or small furries. Teddy can live with sensible children aged 12 years and over who are happy to help with his training and give him time and space he needs.

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Teddy, who is based at Newbury (Berkshire). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
