Orchid

Orchid is currently living in one of our foster homes and is now seeking her forever home! Orchid is a more nervous character who is hoping to be swept up by a calm and patient family. She is looking for a home set in a quieter location with a nice secure garden for her to mooch around in. Orchid could live with another dog who is already well established and confident in their home to show Orchid the ropes. Alternatively, she would be seeking a home that can offer her regular visiting canine friends to help build her confidence and eventually go for walks with. Although Orchid isn't yet confident enough to go for walks, we believe that once truly settled in a home she could get to a point where she enjoys going out and about exploring with her new family. If you have plenty of time to invest in your new canine companion, then look no further than Orchid! We all have so much more to learn about Orchid and a new family will feel lucky when they discover what she can become in time.
Type of home needed
Orchid can live with young adults 15 years and above. She can live with another well-matched dog or on her own. Orchid can be left 3-4 hours at a time, being more nervous around people she actually appreciates a bit of alone time. Orchid's new home should be a peaceful environment with a secure garden to help keep up with her house-training skills. She is unlikely to be confident enough to go for walks until at least 4 weeks, so a garden will offer her a place to exercise in. Once confident enough to go for walks, Orchid should have easy access to quieter walking locations.
