Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are open by appointment only. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

Rambler

I'm looking for a new home...

Rambler is a handsome 7 year old Foxhound who seems to be enjoying centre life! He likes mixing with the other dogs and meeting people, and exploring the grounds in a proper Hound style. He's a very easy going lad and he would do well with a family who has some experience of hounds or working dogs, so that he can reach his full potential.

Type of home needed

Rambler gets along well with other dogs, but he seems to prefer the girls. He's not always certain how to interact with the chaps, but will usually walk with anyone. Rambler is noisy when he is out walking, particularly when he sees another dog and will pull to get to them. His new family must be aware of how vocal he is, and that he was returned to us after neighbourhood complaints. Rambler likes to be left alone when eating or lay in his bed, so any children in the home will need to be of high school age and understand this. He is house trained but he can be destructive if separated from his family overnight.

More about me

As Rambler does love the sound of his own voice when he gets excited, a home with no neighbours within earshot for chilled out walks would be ideal. He is a fabulous chap with a wonderful character and we know his new family will be very lucky to have him when they meet him. If you would like to adopt him, please get in touch.

We do everything we can to provide essential care for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs who need us, now more than ever. If you'd like to help us during these challenging times, please make a donation. Your support means so much to us all, thank you.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Merseyside Rehoming Centre in Liverpool.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
