Covid-19 update April 2021: Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public for general browsing. We’re still rehoming virtually and we’re here to help if you can no longer care for your dog. Please don’t visit, or travel to our centres unless you have already been matched with a dog, or are leaving donations at one of our contact-free drop off points.

Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public for general browsing.

We kindly ask that you don’t visit, or travel to, our centres. We’re still rehoming, with a virtual matching system and safety measures in place. If you’re matched with a dog, you’ll be invited an appointment at the centre to meet them, and if all goes well, make plans to take them home.

Likes

Paddy is a handsome 7 year old Foxhound who seems to be enjoying centre life! He likes mixing with the other dogs and meeting people, and exploring the grounds in a proper Hound style. He's a very easy going lad and he would do well with a family who has some experience of hounds or working dogs, so that he can reach his full potential.

Type of home needed

Paddy gets along well with other dogs, but he seems to prefer the girls. He's not always certain how to interact with the chaps, but will usually walk with anyone. Paddy is noisy when he is out walking, particularly when he sees another dog and will pull to get to them. His new family must be aware of how vocal he is, and that he was returned to us after neighbourhood complaints. Paddy would prefer an over 16s household as he likes to be left alone when eating or in his bed. He is house trained but he can be destructive if separated from his family overnight.

More about me

As Paddy does love the sound of his own voice when he gets excited, a rural home where he can go for chilled out walks would be ideal. He is a fabulous chap with a wonderful character and we know his new family will be very lucky to have him when they meet him. If you would like to adopt him, please click "COme And meet Me" below.

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
