Covid-19 update April 2021: Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public for general browsing. We’re still rehoming virtually and we’re here to help if you can no longer care for your dog. Please don’t visit, or travel to our centres unless you have already been matched with a dog, or are leaving donations at one of our contact-free drop off points.

Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public for general browsing.

We kindly ask that you don’t visit, or travel to, our centres. We’re still rehoming, with a virtual matching system and safety measures in place. If you’re matched with a dog, you’ll be invited an appointment at the centre to meet them, and if all goes well, make plans to take them home.

We’re experiencing unprecedented interest in adoption, so please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

Likes

Reggie is a typical lively lurcher and has lots of energy to spare! Reggie's favourite activity is playtime, and he goes crazy with his toys! He's very clever and will drop them on command, and long as you promise to play fetch again tomorrow. He'll walk for hours and loves to go for long walks off site with his favourite volunteers.

Type of home needed

Reggie can be uncomfortable around some dogs and is unsure what to do with them. Reggie loves human company and will need to be the only pet in the home. He is looking for an active family, and would benefit from further training at home. Reggie would be best in an environment where there are no small furry beasties, and any children are over 16, who are confident with a lively dog, and in a house with his own garden. He is house trained and the perfect house guest when he is with you, but may need help with being left for longer periods and this should be done slowly. Reggie likes to sunbathe in the garden but will need an outdoor area with a high fence! He is on pain relief as he has some occasional spinal pain, but this doesn't hold him back and he can still enjoy long walks and a good run around.

More about me

Reggie needs time to get to know his new family before he goes home. As we can't offer meetings at the centre at the moment, he'll stay safe with us until restrictions are lifted. If you are interested in applying to adopt Reggie, click on the "Come And Meet Me' button. We can start the process, but you'll need to wait for lockdown to end before you can meet him.

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.
