Little Toby is only 11 months old and really doesn't seem to have had the best of starts to life. He came to us as a very worried and undersocialised little chap, who was very afraid. Now that his carers have gained his trust, he has formed a lovely bond with them and they can see more of his personality. He does like to be cuddled, but on his terms only. He's not a typical chihuahua, he does try to chase traffic which is unusual for his breed.
Type of home needed
Toby will need lots of visiting at the centre to bond with adopters. He is very nervous of strangers and it will take a little while for him to get used to you. Help and advice is always available from our training team, and they will take you through a 1-2-1 session before adoption. Toby gets along quite well with other dogs when he is outside, but is less keen to share his space. There's a chance he may live with a female dog of a similar size, but he's probably better as the only dog in the home.
More about me
As we have no previous information for Toby, we can't guarantee that he is housetrained. He will need to live with older children, 16 and above, and no visiting youngsters.
