Mila is a beautiful 5yr old Staffy Cross who forms a strong bond with her human friends and once she knows you will shower you in affection! She loves her outdoors adventures and happily wears her muzzle when she's out and about. Originally, she was very worried by other dogs, however her training on this has been going really well and she is now able to walk with a doggy friend if introduced properly. She is a playful girl who loves a good game of ragger. She is friendly with everyone she meets, although can sometimes get a bit giddy when she's excited. Mila has a skin condition which requires ongoing medication, and our Vet will happily discuss this in more detail. She's super foody and loves to train so doing fun training tasks will make her super happy and help build a relationship with her initially.

Type of home needed

Mila needs patient and dedicated adopters who will be happy to take time getting to know her through multiple visits to the centre. This is the best way to see the real Mila and if you take things slow to start with, in no time at all she'll be your best friend. You'll need to be confident around strong dogs as she often forgets her own strength! She needs quite a specific home which is not open plan with adults only and no other pets. She won't be able to live next door to another dog and must have her own secure garden with at least 5ft fencing. She won't be able to be left alone initially. She travels like a dream so will be happy to join her new family on fun days out.

More about me

Although Mila has some very specific requirements this is because we know she has the potential to succeed in a home and we want to ensure she is given the best possible chance. She's very much on the right tracks already and we can't wait to see her flourish.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Leeds Rehoming Centre.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
