Andi is a 5 year old Staffordshire Bull terrier Cross that loves her toys, particularly soft squeaky ones! She is very enthusiastic when it comes to food and will search high and low for a tasty treat. She loves having her meals in interactive ways such as; snuffle mats, puzzle feeders and kongs. Training does have to be made easy at first as she can become a little overwhelmed. Despite this, once she has mastered something, she is an expert!
Type of home needed
Andi arrived at the centre in Jan 2020, after being transferred from Dogs Trust Dublin. She was there for 2 years but sadly never found a home. Andi is trying her luck at Kenilworth and is hoping it will be the lucky charm she needs to find her forever home. Andi needs a slow intro to new people and she is looking for an adult only home where she won't be meeting lots of family members and friends, especially children. Andi is worried by traffic so is looking for a quiet location with areas to walk away from cars. She will need to be the only pet however, she can walk on lead with well-matched dogs. Her new home must have direct access from the house into a secure garden so that she can exercise, toilet and play in an area where she feels relaxed. As she hasn't been in a home since being on our care, the transition may be scary for her. We are looking for really patient people that have time to let her come around when she is ready. Andi spends time in our real-life room and can be left alone in there for a few hours with toys and things to keep her occupied.
More about me
Andi is a real sweetheart once she gets to know you. She is sometimes in the rehoming blocks but she predominantly lives in a quiet area of the centre so please call before travelling to visit her. Potential adopters would have to visit Andi multiple times before taking her home so that a bond can be built.
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming
centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will
continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We’d like to take this
opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything
they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked and looked after. We appreciate you
thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a
donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you
can do so here...
