Sweet little Cody can find new people and new situations a little scary. When he knows you though he is excitable, bouncy and happy to see you; With people he knows he likes a fuss. Here at the centre he has quite a few doggie friends who he enjoys walking with, he prefers smaller dogs. When he is familiar with his environment his tail will not stop wagging! He is happiest when he is playing with toys, he absolutely loves the squeaky variety. He is happy with car travel to get to nice quiet walks and he knows basic training.
Type of home needed
Cody is a sensitive chap and a bit of a worrier. He will need an adult only home without too many visitors to get used to. He would benefit from quiet walks, where he doesn't have to worry too much about strangers approaching him. Previous experience of nervous dogs would be ideal and adopters must be prepared to visit Cody several times to build a bond with him. With any new dog in a new home, time left alone will need to be built up gradually. Cody is looking to be the only dog in the home to have all of the attention, but would love small doggie friends to go for walks with.
