Jackson is an eight-year-old Pomeranian cross Chihuahua. He is quite a sensitive little boy and a bit of a worrier so will need adopters who are understanding of his needs. Jackson absolutely loves his food: chicken as a treat is the way to his heart. He is worried by too much fuss and overhandling. When he is ready, he does enjoy a fuss and will come and snooze on the sofa curled up next to you. Jackson is currently chilling in a foster-home while he waits for his forever home. In a home Jackson is a joy, he is chilled and settles well making for great company. He is housetrained and loves to be close to his humans. He will need his home to be in a quiet rural area without outside distractions. Jackson can be concerned about seeing other dogs and can be quite vocal when meeting them so would like quiet walks, away from lots of people and dogs. He is not a dog that would cope in town centres, pubs or cafes. Jackson gets excited for his walks but he only likes short strolls, he will let you know when it's time to turn around and go home. Jackson travels well in the car but will need lifting in or a ramp. Jackson will need to visit the groomers regularly once he is settled into his new environment.

Type of home needed

Jackson is looking for a loving home with patient and understanding adopters. Jackson is worried by children; he is looking for a home with adults only. He has good history of living with a cat and could perhaps live with a dog-savvy cat in his new home but will need to be the only dog. We have no history of him with small furries and he may give a 'woof' when passing livestock on his lead. Jackson will need a nice quiet rural home and access to quiet walks.

More about me

Jackson is being treated for regurgitation due to an intestinal condition causing reflux and most likely will need long-term medication and a special diet to manage his condition but we can discuss this with you further once you have completed your application.
