Vinny is a very nervous boy who finds the world overwhelming. We have no history on him other than he found himself at the pound in Ireland. It is likely he has had a very sheltered life. Vinny loves the company of other calm dogs, but can find them a little scary on first meet. He enjoys the company of people once he gets to know you and gets a lot of reassurance from having his favourite people close by. Vinny loves the outdoors, but he isn't so keen on doorways and inside spaces.
Type of home needed
Vinny needs experienced and patient owners who have had nervous dogs before. He will need to live with another dog who is a calm and confident role model. Vinny cannot live with children under 16 years old. He would love to have a room of his own to retreat to when things get a bit much and he must have a private secure garden with direct access from the house. Vinny will not cope with living in a husy or noisy environemnt and dreams of a home in the countryside with lots of space to play and explore at his own pace.
More about me
New owners will need to be prepared to make multiple trips to the centre, at least twice a week to help build a bond before going home.To apply to rehome me, please click on the 'Come and Meet Me' button below. Applications will close when I have found a suitable match.
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our
rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful
staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now
able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs.
This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of
being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by
your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without
your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to
those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs
get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them
their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult
time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue
looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...
