Ty is a fun and bouncy young staffy cross. He loves to spend time with his favourite people and make new dog friends. Ty can find new people scary though and is reactive towards strangers. Ty likes to play and go on adventures but doesn't like to be left alone.
Type of home needed
Ty needs a patient and experienced home with no children under 16yrs and a secure private garden. He could live with another dog, ideally someone to be a confident role model for him. Ty has significant separation related issues and cannot be left home alone at all at present. He will need owners who are home all the time and are willing to put the training in to help him gradually cope alone for short periods. Because of Ty's nervous disposition he will need to live in a quiet area with access to walks away from lots of other people.
More about me
Adopters will need to make multiple visits to the centre beofre taking Ty home. During these visits the in centre behaviour team will be able to discuss his training in more detail and give advice on how best to settle him in to a new home.To apply to rehome me, please click on the 'Come and Meet Me' button below. Applications will close when I have found a suitable match.
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our
rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful
staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now
able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs.
This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of
being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by
your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without
your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to
those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs
get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them
their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult
time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue
looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...
