Jupiter is a 2 year old Dobermann cross that initially came to us as a stray and was rehomed to a busy family home. He was returned to our care as it wasn't the right home environment for him. Now we have a better idea of what works for Jupiter and are looking for a particular environment to ensure it will be his forever home. A committed owner with previous experience of owning a dog as an adult is essential as we are looking for him to continue training. His new home should be in a rural setting to give him the best chance of settling in.

Type of home needed

Jupiter is looking for an adult only home with people of 18 years and older with no visiting children. He can get anxious when there are other dogs or people in view which is why we are looking for a quite home with few people and dogs around. He will need to be kept on lead and wearing a muzzle when in public places but this is a normal part of his routine. At home and in his own garden this isn't required so having his own secure private garden with 6ft fence is a must to enjoy some off lead time.

More about me

Jupiter is really friendly with people that he knows and adores playing games, getting back scratches and snuggling in on the sofa. He would like to have all the attention as the only pet in the home. Having someone around for most of the day would be great but he could be left for a few hours once settled. Jupiter will make a really fun and loving companion for the right person. To apply to adopt Jupiter please click on the 'rehoming me starts here' button. Applications will close when we find a suitable match.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Glasgow Rehoming Centre.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
