Louie is quite a worried boy around new people and in new situations so will need a gentle and patient family who will give him time and space to settle into his new home. We are looking for an owner who can continue his training so having previous experience of owning a dog is essential.
Type of home needed
Louie was found as a stray and the information we have on him is limited so his new owners should be committed to offering any training provided. He will need a secure garden and this will give him a place to practice his training and also burn some energy. As he is a big lad, a 6ft fence is required. He would prefer to have someone around for most of the day to help him settle but could be left for an hour or two.
More about me
Louie would prefer to be the only pet in the home. He would benefit from further socialisation and confidence building through positive, reward based training. He could live with children over the age of 14 years old who can go slowly with him and give him space if he needs it. Once he gets to know you he is super friendly and enjoys attention.
During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming
centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will
continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We’d like to take this
opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything
they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked and looked after. We appreciate you
thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a
donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you
can do so here...
