Covid-19 update: Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with social distancing measures in place to keep our staff and adopters safe.

Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but you can still make an appointment to adopt or bring a dog to us. We’ve set up new processes to keep staff, visitors and adopters safe, including matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free.

Local restrictions may affect our rehoming procedures, so please check the rules for your area: we’re not able to facilitate appointments or adoptions across different tiers, or anywhere there are travel restrictions.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

To apply to rehome Fozzy please click on the 'Come and Meet Me' button below. Applications will close when a suitable match has been found. Friendly Fozzy loves company and will blossom into a wonderful companion if given the chance. The quickest way to his heart is through the promise of fetch with tennis balls. Fozzy enjoys a gentle fuss and gets great comfort from having people around him. He MUST live in a rural location away from lots of busy goings-on, and would like there to be minimal dogs around the local area.

Type of home needed

Fozzy will need his family to be around all of the time as he really isn't the biggest fan of being left on his own, even for short periods. He will need some help in overcoming his anxieties and frustrations particularly around dogs, and would therefore benefit from living somewhere without any canine neighbours. Fozzy will require a high amount of physical exercise, and will need his family to dedicate time to keeping him occupied. Experience of high-energy breeds will be of great benefit to Fozzy's new family as he really will need his enthusiasms channelling into productive ways.

More about me

Fozzy can live with children aged 12 years plus, but he will need to be the only pet in his home. He is a rather complex boy who will need a family able to commit to his training; our team will be here to provide Fozzy's new family with behavioural support throughout his adoption process and beyond. He has spent some time in a home previously where he was housetrained (unless left alone), but Fozzy will need ongoing help with learning to settle and switch-off.

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Fozzy, who is based at Evesham (Worcestershire). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
