Covid-19 update: Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with social distancing measures in place to keep our staff and adopters safe.

Our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing but you can still make an appointment to adopt or bring a dog to us. We’ve set up new processes to keep staff, visitors and adopters safe, including matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free.

Local restrictions may affect our rehoming procedures, so please check the rules for your area: we’re not able to facilitate appointments or adoptions across different tiers, or anywhere there are travel restrictions.

We’re currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. Please bear with us, we’re doing everything we can to find our dogs their forever homes.

To apply to rehome Bosco, please click the 'Come and meet me' button below. Applications will close when a suitable match has been found. Bosco is a brilliant boy who adores spending time with the people he knows. One of his favourite things is his training sessions which he throws himself into each and every time. Bosco will require a hands-off approach to begin with, but will make a fantastic companion once settled. As Bosco will require several meets and his family will need some 1-2-1 sessions with our team on site, we will not be able to begin Bosco's meets until lockdown restrictions lift. Our team will continue to take interest in him and find his perfect match via phone calls and virtual meets.

Type of home needed

A rural home is top of Bosco's wishlist, where he can enjoy life without the worry of loud noises or lots of disturbances. A family with collie experience and a good understanding of dog body language will be essential to Bosco's success, and it must be fully understood that hands-on fuss is not Bosco's favourite thing until he really knows and trusts you. Several visits will be required to our Centre before Bosco heads out on his home visit, and consideration should be made in terms of his hip dysplasia which he is on long term medication for.

More about me

Bosco is seeking an adult-only home with no visiting children, and ideally very minimal visitors at all. He would like to be the only pet in his home, and MUST live somewhere extremely quiet away from traffic, schools, parks and anything else that he may be sensitive to. Bosco is quite happy in his own company and can be left for a few hours if given a comfy bed and a brain game to keep him occupied.

In these unprecedented circumstances, we're doing everything we can to continue our vital work caring for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs. If you'd like to help, please make a donation. Your support means so much, now more than ever.

How rehoming works

Thank you for your interest in Bosco, who is based at Evesham (Worcestershire). Please note this is not a reservation on this dog. If you think you could be a good match give us a call on the number below

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. More info about how our new rehoming process works below.

When you rehome a dog, we’ll give you your welcome bag, which includes a new collar and lead, and our dog care handbook with microchip and insurance details. Plus, to help your new addition settle in we’ll give you a 2kg bag of Wainwright’s dry dog food, courtesy of the Pets at Home VIP Club, unless they have been fed on a different food for dietary or veterinary reasons.
