We’ve set up new processes which include social distancing measures to help keep staff, visitors and adopters safe.

We’re now matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment and this now applies to all of our rehoming centres in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Type of home needed

Pretty Polly is a friendly, excitable girl who loves nothing more than being with people and out and about exploring new places. She loves a tasty snack or two so this is a great way to make friends with her. Polly doesn't quite know what toys are for just yet, so would like her new family to show her what she's been missing out on! Polly will need to meet her new family here at the centre before she can go home.

More about me

5-year-old Polly is a beautiful girl who is forever forgetting her size! When she gets excited she jumps up to head height so will need her new family to help continue her training to keep all 4 paws on the floor! Polly is an ex-racer so has a high chase drive; due to this she will need to be kept on-lead in public at all times. Polly needs a secure garden in her new home so that she can run about freely and burn off her energy in a secure environment and will need high fencing as she can clear a 6ft fence! Polly will need to be the only pet in the home and has only met other greyhounds in the past so would like some other greyhound friends to go on walks with if possible. Polly may be able to live with children over 13 years old if they are confident around large bouncy dogs.

During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs. This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming.
