About Blue

1 to 2 Years

Blue is just absolutely gorgeous! But he is going to be a hard work. He is completely deaf so potential owners must be confident in training him. He needs his manners working on as he is very mouthy which can be difficult to manage but he is incredibly foodie which can be a great training aid.

Type of home needed

Blue can live with another medium-large dog, no small dogs, and it may be good for him to have a role model to teach him the ways. He requires an adult only home and will need someone around for him all day and begin to slowly build up his leaving hours once he has settled in. Blue has limited sight but it doesn't stop him being the cheeky chappie that we know and love.

More about me

Blue will need lifelong eye lubricant. Blue has had such an unsettled time lately and needs committed patient owners. Blue will require a home within 45 minutes drive of the centre in order for us to help him transition into his new environment.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Darlington Rehoming Centre in County Durham.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
