I'm looking for a new home...

About Max

Max is a big lad with a huge personality to match. He loves his humans and really enjoys company so will require people around for him and build up time left alone sympathetically.

Type of home needed

Max will require a rural home environment as he can be reactive towards other dogs out and about and new owners will need to work on his doggy social skills carefully and gradually with appropriate dogs. This will help him greet other dogs more politely. He will probably need to be the only dog in his new home at the moment. Max is only a youngster so a good off lead enclosed area will help to burn off some of that energy and he would enjoy some mental enrichment as well. Max can be mouthy and is a big chap so requires an adult only home.

More about me

Potential owners will need to meet Max a few times before he goes to his new home.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Darlington Rehoming Centre in County Durham.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
