I'm looking for a new home...

About Coco

2 to 5 Years

Coco is a beautiful boy, who once gets to know you, is incredibly affectionate. He does find new faces quite scary and does require gradual introductions. He gets worried by dogs on walks so will require owners to walk him in quiet areas, to prevent both people and dogs coming over to him. He loves his food and toys, probably in equal measure. He is slowly learning that it is okay to share with his humans, but this will need careful management in the home.

Type of home needed

Coco is looking for an adult only, quiet home with minimal visitors and no visiting children. He will need to be the only pet in the home. Due to needing to be exercised on lead, he will require direct access to his own secure garden with fencing of around 6ft. Car journeys can be a little overwhemling for him, but his confidence has much improved since he has been with us. He is very strong on lead, but will do anything for a tasty treat so this does help with training.

More about me

Coco will require his new owners to meet him multiple times at the centre, so please only apply if you can commit to regular visits.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Darlington Rehoming Centre in County Durham.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
