Rehoming by appointment

Our rehoming centres are open by appointment only. We're still rehoming, but we're doing things a little differently.

I'm looking for a new home...

Dingo is a 19-month-old German Shepherd x Lurcher looking for calm, patient owners that are ready and willing to continue her ongoing training. She can be nervous when meeting new people (especially men) so potential adopters will need to take things slowly with her. Once she has built up a bond with a human, she loves a good fuss and a cuddle. When she feels comfortable her goofy, playful personality shines through, zooming around in our compounds, chasing toys and balls.

Type of home needed

Dingo would like to live in a quiet, rural area in an adult only home with minimal visitors. She was toilet trained in her previous home but will possibly require a refresher. She will need her own secure, private garden to practise this. Dingo has made some doggie friends at the centre and could possibly live with another dog dependant on successful meets. Our training team will work her new owners to manage her behaviour around new people and to help build up her confidence.

More about me

If Dingo sounds like your perfect match, please get in contact to express an interest. Please note if you rent your property, you must be able to provide written permission from your landlord to keep a dog to complete the rehome process. Due to expected high levels of interest you will only hear back from us if we are able to proceed with your application. We will conduct a rehoming interview with successful applicants and home visit via video. Access to emails and video technology will be essential for this process.

We do everything we can to provide essential care for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs who need us, now more than ever. If you'd like to help us during these challenging times, please make a donation. Your support means so much to us all, thank you.

Thank you for your interest in rehoming a dog from our Canterbury Rehoming Centre in Kent.

The first step to rehoming from us is to complete our online application form. We’ll review your application and if we think you could be a good match for the dog, we’ll give you a call to chat in more detail.

When reviewing applications, we're looking at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog. If we have lots of strong matches, then we'll start with the family that applied first.

We may arrange a virtual home check to find out more about you, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer. We may also make an appointment for you to come and meet a dog at the centre.

Start your online application now.

We aim to respond to all rehoming applications within five working days. If you have not heard from us within five working days, unfortunately you have been unsuccessful this time.
