We’ve set up new processes which include social distancing measures to help keep staff, visitors and adopters safe.

We’re now matching dogs with their new homes virtually and delivering dogs contact-free. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can now meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment and this now applies to all of our rehoming centres in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

About Bella

Centre:
Breed:
Age:
5 to 7 Years
Sex:
Female

Likes

Bella adores spending time with people, either playing or going on a fun walk or adventure around the woods. Bella will also settle down and relax with her favourite humans, enjoying a stuffed kong or delicious chew. She will play with toys and especially loves a good game of chase - particularly if a squeaking toy is involved! She can be quite strong on the lead and is full of energy, so will be best suited to an active family home.

Type of home needed

Bella needs a quiet but active home where her family will be with her throughout the day, and new adopters will need to commit to working on a leaving program designed by the centre's training and behaviour team. Bella loves to chase, so could do with some ongoing training to give her appropriate outlets for this behaviour. She could live with children aged 14 or older, as Bella can find some situations overwhelming and her family will need to be able to read and respond appropriately to help her feel safe. Bella must be the only pet in the home. She will need direct access to a secure, private garden.

More about me

If Bella sounds like your perfect match please get in contact to express an interest. Please note if you rent your property you must be able to provide written permission from your landlord to keep a dog to complete the rehome process. Due to expected high levels of interest you will only hear back from us if we are able to proceed with your application. We will conduct a rehoming interview with successful applicants and home visit via video. Access to emails and video technology will be essential for this process.

During these uncertain times, whilst we have had to unfortunately close our rehoming centres to the public, we’d like to reassure you that our wonderful staff will continue to provide the best possible care for our dogs. We are now able to start the search for new homes for a small number of our awesome dogs. This will really help us to support even more dogs who are most at risk of being put to sleep as a result of this crisis. We have been overwhelmed by your offers of support, and we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without your help. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to those individuals, who are doing everything they can to make sure our dogs get fed, walked, looked after and, as soon as we are able, finding them their forever home. We appreciate you thinking of us at what is a difficult time for all. If you would like to make a donation to support whilst we continue looking after the dogs in our care you can do so here...

Our rehoming process is a bit different at the moment! We’re now matching dogs with their new families virtually and delivering dogs to their new homes, with social distancing measures in place to help keep staff and adopters safe. For dogs who need more time to get to know their new family, you can come and meet them at our rehoming centres by appointment. We can’t register interest for dogs who aren’t available for rehoming.
